We are currently looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join our clients established team. You will be working for one of NZ's leading manufacturers. This is a temporary role for an initial period of 3 months.
As a Test Engineer you will be checking the integrity of all new and existing products. You will be responsible for process validations and process laboratory testing. As part of this role you will also be involved in continuous improvement projects.
You will have a BSc or NZCS encompassing mechanical engineering with experience using power tools. Your ability to think outside the square and can do attitude will allow you to excel in this role.

·         Deliver innovative mechanical designs, fabrication, and specification for production

·         Create piece part and assembly level CAD 3D models, drawings and design specifications.  Apply Six Sigma design principles to ensure robustness and Design for Manufacturability

·         Develop specific mechanical components / mechanisms to be integrated with final product

·         Plan, schedule and manage mechanical project deliverables in a coordinated, multi-disciplinary project team environment.  Responsible for all mechanical aspects of each project from design through to release to tooling and manufacturing

·         Ensure the integrity of all mechanical design outputs, including documentation, revision control, product regulatory testing and approvals, intellectual property opportunities, etc

·         Coordinate with other functions outside of R&D including production, product management, outside agencies, vendors, etc

Experience:
5 (five) to 10 (ten) years. Education: Minimum Bachelor Degree

* Minimum 2-years international experience with Building/ Marine Automation
* Application knowledge in fuel consumption metering in Marine* Application knowledge in Thermal Energy (Cooling) Metering (in Building Automation)
* Technical background in instrumentation and metering
* Training and presentation skills
* Initiative character, self-driven and matured character
* Able to communicate with all levels of personnel like contractors, foremen, project managers etc and bilingual
(Liaise with English & Mandarin clients)
* Diploma / I.T.E. level in Mechanical/Electrical/Marine engineering
* Preferred Class 3 Driving License though not essential

•Degree OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Marketing or equivalent
• 2 to 3 experience in sales of light and heavy industrial Equipment & Commercial Vehicles.
• Should posses knowledge to prepare estimates and sales offers to clients with excellent negotiation skills in English & Arabic and ability to close deals, able to calculate discounts, interests & commissions.
• Time management skills will be an added advantage .
• - Ability to work under pressure and motivated, computer literate preferred.

Should have sufficient experience in fluid mechanics engineering.
Have sufficient exposure with regards to waste water treatment plant & design
Experienced in Operation and maintenance procedure of waste water treatment preferred
Leadership ability is a plus
Should have sufficient experience in technical report writing in English language.
