Heathland is an outstanding 3-12 primary school in South Harrow.

We require, as soon as possible, Teaching Assistants to work both within class, lead small group interventions or work one to one with SEN pupils.

This provides an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to work as an apprentice on our ICT Helpdesk team, assisting our users particularly during the forthcoming upgrade to Windows 7. The team provides essential front line support for the Council’s PC’s, answering telephone calls and working with users to rectify ICT problems, using diagnostic skills and tools. The council desktop environment is currently Windows XP and Office 2003, moving to Windows 7 and Office 2010 in 2012/2013.

• Start Date: As soon as possible Langdon All Through School has been recognised as an outstanding School in our last three Ofsted inspections. The School is a successful, over subscribed, multi-cultural school held in high regard by the local community. The School has currently begun its preparation to be the country’s largest All Through School ages 3-16 years. In September 2011, Langdon All Through School opened its primary phase with 3 reception classes. Over the next 7 years we will build the provision year on year to accommodate the increased need for Primary places in East Ham. The School is housed in an attractive 42 acre site and is close to major roads and tube/rail networks.

Duties include maintenance of the Council’s database, handling customer enquiries face to face, over the telephone and in writing while working within a busy office environment.

Applicants must have experience in a customer services environment, accurate data entry and Microsoft Office skills. A working knowledge of council tax and business rates legislation would be an advantage and knowledge of the Northgate I-World system would be ideal. You will be educated to ‘A’ level standard, have an aptitude for figure work and be a good communicator.


The main purpose of this role is to function as a highly skilled and experienced practitioner within a Children’s Social Care Team. This includes providing day-to-day support and advice to social care staff to ensure that high quality services are delivered.

You will need to enable and support the delivery of these services in an efficient and effective manner, and in accordance with departmental principles and procedures. You will also be required to assist the Team Manager in service development, Safeguarding procedures, professional supervision and in certain aspects of management.
