PETROLEUM:
BHP Billiton Petroleum is a significant oil and gas exploration and production business. We have operations in Algeria. Australia, Pakistan, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Kingdom and the United States. We produce and market crude oil, condensates, natural gas, liquefied natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas and ethane.

PAKISTAN PRODUCTION UNIT (PPU):
BHP Petroleum Pakistan has been active in Pakistan since 1994 and is the operator of Zamzama production facility in Dadu, Sindh. Gas produced is sold under contract to our clients, SSGCL. Under full field development, Zamzama adds approximately 13 % to the country’s daily gas demand.

BHP Petroleum Pakistan has maintained an outstanding Health, Safety, Environment and Community (HSEC) track record since start of operations. Zamzama production facility is now moving to Phase-II development, which will represent acceleration of commercialisation of gas reserves to meet the country’s growing energy demand.

SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER
ISLAMABAD

This is an Islamabad based position reporting to Surface Engineering Team Leader. Responsibilities include provision of process engineering services to monitor plant performance, optimize plant operations and resolve associated problems; provide input to HAZOP/ design reviews and ensuring the implementation of HAZOP recommendations; assist the team to operate facilities optimally where necessary lending support on fluid processing properties and transportation; participate in de-bottlenecking of Zamzama Gas Plant and provide support during upcoming projects; identify scope out and screen options for OPEX reduction and production optimization projects; review and report on new techniques on process engineering; perform agreed Engineering Change Request activities (i.e. agreed studies and engineering improvements to the facilities), and provide process input and data to Engineering Changes.

Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering with minimum 10 years experience in the oil and gas or related industries. Applicant should be well versed with HSEC Standards. Must possess demonstrated analytical and problem solving abilities. Previous experience with Process and Flow simulation applications. Quality written and oral skills. First rate technical skills with a broad range of process knowledge. Ability to work with diverse group of people ranging from technical staff to on site operations staff.

MECHANICAL ENGINEER
ISLAMABAD

This is Islamabad based position reporting to surface Engineering Team Leader. Responsibilities include provision of engineering support to facilities, to ensure safe, efficient and effective operation and maintenance in compliance with business plans; support the production operations department by implementing modifications to existing equipment, and including recommendations for design and installation of new equipment; put in place strategies to improve the availability / reliability of plant equipment; reviewing of critical spares, consumables and material; establishing equipment criticality, audits and safety cases: manage all modifications with respect to stationary equipment; managing and coordinating small projects: provide assistance with the maintenance of Rotary Equipment.

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 6 years operating and maintenance experience in Petroleum operations. Applicant should be well versed with HSEC Standards and Engineering Codes and Standards. Strong analytical skills and ability to translate and implement those into clearly thought-through process. Independence as a team member, with strong time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities. Strong knowledge of application software tools, including MS Office presentation, spreadsheet, and word processing applications. Demonstrated capability in MS Project. Excellent communication and persuasion skills and ability to work with all levels of staff and management is required.
