Job description
A well known and prestigious magazine house is looking to fill a role for a digital designer.
To design digital creative including but not limited to banners and other online marketing support materials, sales proposals, newsletters, advertorials and special pages.
The digital designer will also source and resize editorial images for the magazine websites.
The role of the designer is to Conceptualise and complete all design elements for the digital department.

Requirements are:
At least two years digital design experience.
A degree or diploma in Design with relevant experience.
Talented and proficient design capabilities with necessary technical knowledge (html and flash).
Love of magazines and the ability to create designs that are 'hard sell'.
Knowledge of other magazines and competitor titles.
Individual style, tone and personality that needs to come through on all design elements.
Insight and understanding of traditional digital requirements (file size limits, pixel sizes).
Be proactive: Demonstrate creative initiative and passion for the brands.
Be a team player and capable of working with others.
Professionally handle stress (able to work fast and independently under pressure).
Meet deadlines and be detail oriented.
Have initiative and a strong work ethic.
Work experience in an ad agency or publishing environment will be advantageous.
Competent in the following: In Design, Photoshop and /or Quark Express, Illustrator, MacOs X, CS4 - Indesign, Photoshop, CS5 Flash and basic HTML
Valid drivers license.
Able to work outside or regular hours, on occasion, to meet required deadline.
