Job description
The Hardy Boys is a Durban based but regionally active Brand-Centric, channel neutral, multi-disciplinary creative consultancy. Its purpose is to find answers to Brand and Client problems or opportunities using strategic, creative and campaign management capabilities.

The company is seeking a Junior Finished Artist to join their team of five, to take final artwork to production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assisting the Senior Finished Artists with repro and make ready function for Production (e.g. Print, TV, Online)
• Retrieval of existing and archived Finished Artwork
• Resupplying (burning completed artwork onto disc) previously finished artwork
• Large format proof printing
• Building mock ups of artwork
• Applying clips, spreads and bleed to artwork
• Working with high-res files as the final check before handover to Production
• Basic retouching logos and pictures
• Deep etching
• Formatting text
• Colour and format check

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of two years' Finished Art experience from a Reputable Advertising Agency or Print house
• Extensive experience working on the CS5 Suite(Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and Freehand)
• A basic understanding of different print technologies and processes
• Professional, responsible, positive attitude with attention to detail
• A basic understanding of the relationship between what you see on the screen and the way it will reproduce in print
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong service orientation
• Integrity, energy and creativity
