Reporting to the Senior Production Engineer, your major responsibilities will be in Drill & Blast and by providing engineering support to the underground production teams, your challenges will include:
•Ensuring all safety procedures and standards are followed at all times with no compromise
•Using 3D Software to undertake all projects and designs with Drill & Blast
•Ensuring Drill & Blast operations are optimised in terms of showing attention to detail for thorough record keeping with  productivity and cost.
•Develop and maintain an environment of continuous improvement
•Create plans to optimise stope production
•Show initiative to discuss ideas and issues with the senior drill and blast and senior production engineers
•Liaise with geotechnical Engineers on risk and stability
•Be self-motivated to achieve individual, team and organisational goals.
 
To be successfully considered for this role, you will hopefully have the following:
•Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering.
•Minimum of 2 to 3 years underground mining experience in mechanised mines.
•Have the majority of your Underground time complete
•Experience with Vulcan and/or Surpac 3D software.
•Have the drive and commitment to want to learn, using good mentorship to develop your engineering skills with real depth.
