OUTSOURCED PAYROLL MANAGER 12Month contract required by CareerWise recruitment. We have a 12 month vacancy for the manager of this division to cover maternity leave from March 2012. This position can be based in either our Cork or Kilkenny.

THE ROLE:
Leading and mentoring the existing team of payroll specialists.
Acting as an escalation point for issues.
Maintaining and further developing the relationship with the existing customer base throughout Ireland and the UK.
Identifying opportunities and implementing solutions with both the existing and new client set.
Developing the business by working with the Sales team to attract future clients.
Implementing new clients using a standard methodology including kick off meetings, data transfer from existing system, parallel running of payroll and agreeing a statement of work.
Responsible for scheduling, prioritising and assigning projects within the team.
Invoicing and financial management at month end.

REQUIREMENTS:
*Degree qualified, preferably in an IT/Financial discipline (BIS, Finance, B.Comm or Accounting discipline).
*Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
*Experience in Client facing roles with the ability to develop business relationships.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Strategic & creative thinker with excellent inter-personal skills.
*Previous systems implementation experience is essential.
*An innovative individual with the ability to drive for results.
*Ability to challenge and influence key stakeholders.
*A self-starter with an ability to work to deadlines in a fast paced environment.
*Previous Project Management experience would be an advantage.
*Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise are essential.
*Ability to travel is essential.
