Based in Newcastle we are currently working with a leader in the provision of rail signalling and systems to recruit an Assistant Construction Manager. This role will see you working closely with the existing leadership team to deliver projects safely and to budget across both the ARTC and independently operated rail networks in Northern NSW.

This role covers planning, coordination and reporting of railway signalling and communication upgrades. Reporting to and working closely with the Construction Manager your role will see you involved with the following:
·         Subcontractor management
·         Materials coordination
·         Preparation of progress reports and work method statements
·         Budgetary control and reviewing payment claims
·         Development and training of staff
·         Ensuring OH&S and up to date directives are followed

We are keen to speak with experienced railway signalling operators who have an engineering degree or relevant trade backgrounds. You are most likely to be working as a Signalling Supervisor with a contractor or client side and will be looking for your next challenge to develop your career. This role will see you supported by an experienced Construction Manager who will mentor and guide your development.
