Salary Grade: Scale 4 Spine Point 18 – 21
Salary Range: £20,460 to £22,422 p.a.
Actual Salary: £17,657 to £19,350 p.a.
35 hours per week (Term Time Only)
(1 year Fixed Term contract, may be renewable subject to continuation of funding)
Immediate start is possible.
We are looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants in order to raise standards of achievement for pupils. The role will involve working with individual students and groups who have severe challenging behavior, under the direction of the class teacher; introducing tasks, and monitoring pupil’s work and using a range of strategies to support their learning.
You need to be confident in KS3 and KS4 Curriculum Knowledge and have high levels of communicative and written English. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3-6 months experience in an education setting.
The ideal candidate will have SEN and EAL experience BESD, learning difficulties and autistic experience. Candidates must be patient and empathetic towards pupils and have a real interest in working with SEN/EAL pupils. Candidates should ideally have NVQ Level 2 or 3.
