An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible qualified nurse to join the school nursing team. The post holder will have learning disability experience with children and young people and will hold a caseload with one of our local schools to support the health needs of the children. This will include an advanced knowledge of childhood development and work with the children’s disability service to contribute promoting health and independence.

The post holder will possess excellent communication skills, enjoy working as a team member and be able to work independently. Multi agency working is paramount and the post holder must have a genuine desire to develop a career in school nursing within an additional needs nurse role, with a commitment to provide high quality interventions.

This post retains the opportunity for NHS agenda for change pay and NHS pension benefits subject to individual application). The post holder will be offered clinical supervision, safeguarding supervision, PARD and future training opportunities within the remit of the school nurse, additional needs nurse requirements.
