Skilled surgeon and physician with corneal-refractive training wanted for a dynamic, well-established practice with a 30-year tradition of providing cataract, glaucoma, refractive and general ophthalmology care. One of our partners is retiring, and this position offers an excellent partnership opportunity as you step into an existing patient base while expanding satellite locations. There is also potential ownership opportunity in the ASC and refractive surgery center.

Ideal candidate is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with corneal-refractive training and experience but we will consider recent graduates. Top surgical skills and the ability to put patient care first are a must. You can expect to perform 300+ cataracts a year as well as refractive surgery. We have a large base of referring doctors and optometrists.

Several nearby universities – Stanford, UCSF and UC Berkeley - offer opportunities to teach medical students and optometrists and obtain academic affiliations.

In addition to 2 satellite offices, our busy, 2 MD practice is located in San Leandro, California, just 30 minutes from downtown San Francisco in one direction and the heart of Silicon Valley in the other. The San Francisco-San Jose area offers fabulous weather year-round, a dynamic Silicon Valley economy, many family-friendly communities and superb cultural and recreational amenities, including Napa Valley wine country getaways, skiing in the Sierras and Northern California beaches.

Compensation includes base salary, benefits and production upside.  Partnership expected after first year.
