- BSc.
in Engineering, required, related discipline.
- Minimum
8 years.
- Knowledge of design techniques,
tools and principles involved in production of precision technical
plans, blueprints, drawings and models to support monitoring and
establishing design review procedures.
- Assists
to develop reporting procedures in the performance of his area and work
on continuously improving designs, adherence to deadlines and
optimization of costs by EPCM partner companies.
- Contributes
to plan, organize and manage the work of the project design to ensure
optimal use of resources and workload.
- Participates
to organize Project design and shares the responsibility for the
quality of project design delivery and adherence to deadlines by EPCM
partner companies.
- Contributes
to, continually, review projects design service provision to ensure
resources are being used effectively. Identifies areas for improvement
and agrees appropriate implementation plans with the superior.
- Assists
to administer the assigned staff to ensure effective monitoring and
evaluation of all EPCM partner company design activity. The assigned
staff should be satisfied that the design related deliverables of the
EPCM partner companies are acceptable for ASHGHAL needs.
- In
conjunction with the Superior, develops and maintains key performance
indicators/targets for the Projects design ensuring that they are
realistic and support the objectives of the department and organization.
- In
consultation with the superior, develops design standards and criteria
to be adopted for all related projects to ensure quality design. The
EPCM partner company will adopt these.
- Contributes
and assists in monitoring, evaluating and endorsing the outsourced
design activities and managing the relationships with design teams of
the EPCM partner company. This includes reporting on projects progress,
deviations, dealing with issues such as scope creep, poor delivery etc.
- Contributes
and assists in monitoring, evaluating and endorsing the EPCM partner
company design plans, specifications and cost estimates for all types of
infrastructure projects.
- Participates
in Technical auditing of appropriate project/design briefs that are
prepared by the EPCM partner company. Ensures that the relevant EPCM
partner company understands the project/design brief and delivers
accordingly.
- Contributes
to ensure that procedures for maintaining high standards of quality,
reliability and safety in project designs are followed. This will be
through implementing and maintaining design control and monitoring
procedures for EPCM partner company design activity.
