• Installs and maintains networking equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls and proxy devices.
  • Installs and maintains network cabling
  • Maintains inventory of networking equipment, and maintenance logs.
  • Provides daily maintenance and operations of Ashghal Data Network and wide area network infrastructure.
  • Monitors data network activity and reviews performance-monitoring tools to ensure normal data network activity.
  • Performs daily review of the data switch/router and WAN network equipment, including, reviewing log files and interface statistics.
  • Creates baseline performance levels. Identifies messages related to unusual network activity.
  • Provides installation assistance for new/modified data cabling/connectivity requests.
  • Uses cable diagnostic tools as directed to test and verify proper cable transmission.
  • Provides data network cable is required.
  • Install, configure, and support all local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) hardware, and Internet/Intranet systems and all segments of the network systems.
  • Maintain network hardware on remote sites foot Ethernet connectivity to the network.
  • Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability .
  • Upgrade network hardware and software components as required.
  • Provide network support and coordinate move, adds, and change activity.
  • Perform testing and evaluation on network systems, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), Internet, intranet, and other data communications systems.
  • Troubleshoot service interruptions, performance issues and document resolutions.
  • Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
  • Respond to the needs and questions of users concerning their access of resources on the network.
  • Install cabling for network hardware and servers.
  • Execute and analyze network tests, evaluate test results, provide QA.
  • Provide on site support to solve Network problems.
  • Work with Vendors to resolve problems

Pre-Requisites

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate - CCNA
  • Certification in structure cabling is plus

Other Information

  • Familiarity with Workgroup applications such as Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Access and Word.
  • Must be proficient in CISCO Routers / Switches, Network Protocols including TCP/IP and wiring systems (fiber/copper).
  • Experience with Cisco routers and switches.
  • Knowledge of data cabling standards (Cat5E/6, fiber), network analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, WINS, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SNTP.
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of UTP Ethernet cabling.
  • Must have good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Highly self motivated and directed.

  • Understanding of network principles and operation.
  • Understanding of routing protocols.
  • Should Possess computer operation skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the equipment, infrastructure, transport protocols and network architecture used by the ASH HAL.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
