In order for us to support this transfer we are looking for a qualified interim Accountant that can join our busy Finance team on a 6 month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for collating and delivering the financial information required by the LGBCE, this will involve separating relevant financial data from that of the Electoral Commission. In addition, the role will be responsible for ensuring the LGBCE is set up on COINS, HM treasury network and with any other essential central government organisations. General support to the Finance team on delivery of management accounts, budget planning and routine finance work will also be required.
To be successful in this role, you must be a qualified accountant with experience of producing and adapting financial reports for different audiences, often within tight timelines. You will have financial expertise, excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

We are currently going through a period of change where a small part of our organisation (staff who currently work in the Boundary Reviews team and Legal Implementation team) will transfer out of the Electoral Commission with effect from 1 April 2010 and become a new body called the Local Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE).
