Alchemy Publishing (Your Baby, Baba & Kleuter and Your Pregnancy) is looking for a Lifestyle Editor to produce the fashion, décor, crafts, party and food pages across all three Alchemy magazines as well as the various special projects. The position is based in our Sandton office.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a creative flair and a background in styling.

Job responsibilities include:
• The conceptualisation, planning and production of all the lifestyle pages across the
Alchemy titles;
• Styling of the advertorial shoots including sourcing of models, locations and photographers;
• Conceptualising and styling of the shoots for the lifestyle pages;
• Maintaining visual consistency across all products;
• Management of allocated budget and reconciliation of expenses.

Requirements
The position requires:
• Exceptional creative flair;
• Proven experience in styling and production, preferably in a magazine environment;
• The ability to plan and work methodically - on his/her own as well as in a team;
• Excellent communication skills and a strong command of the English language (written and verbal). The same proficiency in Afrikaans would be beneficial.
• An absolute commitment to deadlines.

The incumbent will report to the editors of the magazines.
